Our appointment to discover the spontaneous orchids of the Alpe della Luna Nature Reserve in Badia Tedalda returns on Sunday 2 June!

9.30 am | Meeting at Piazza dei Tedaldi (Badia Tedalda, AR) and departure for a nature excursion led by Prof. Loris Bagli to discover the spontaneous orchids of the Badia Tedalda area

1.00 pm | Transfer by car to the nearby Piscina Nera Hostel, managed by the Pro Loco of Badia Tedalda. Packed lunch in a comfortable outdoor space equipped with a roof. There will be a guided tasting of “Wild Cuisine”, tastings of foods and drinks based on spontaneous local plants, with exclusively vegetable ingredients. Those who have already organized a packed lunch should bring along plates, cutlery and glasses for tasting.

3.00 pm | Short excursion (optional) in the meadows around the hostel. Free participation.

4.00 pm | Exchange of seedlings, seeds and cuttings of wild or cultivated species. Free initiative. We recommend bringing bags and sachets with you, preferably recycled… you will bring home new creatures!

5.00 pm | Free Kombucha workshop and gift from the mother. Free initiative. It is necessary, for those who want a mother, to bring with them a clean 720 ml glass jar with a new cap (can for peeled tomatoes); recently processed kombucha, kombucha aged for three years and kombucha processed with only local ingredients will be offered.

Annalisa Malerba has been teaching fermented foods to professionals and enthusiasts for twenty years; with his family he takes care of the Gorgoscura Fermenti e Flora project, a short distance from the Piscina Nera Hostel; she deals with training in the catering sector and has worked as a freelancer for over twenty years.

The poster indicates the degree of difficulty of the hike. To understand how to interpret the degree of difficulty of the hike, one needs to know that:

Difficulty T = Tourist. It includes routes on small roads, mule tracks and convenient well-marked paths that pose no uncertainties, difficulties or problems of orientation. These are routes suitable even for hikers with first experience in the mountains.

Difficulty E = Hiking. Routes that are on trails or tracks, generally marked, also long, with some exposed sections, but well protected or secured with handrail ropes. These are routes that already require a minimum of experience and training.

Difficulty EE = Experienced Hikers. Characterizes those generally marked routes that imply an ability to move easily over even impervious and/or treacherous terrain, short scree, open slopes with no landmarks, rocky sections with slight technical difficulties, general mountain experience and knowledge of the alpine environment, sure-footedness, absence of vertigo and adequate physical preparation.

The fee includes:

  • accompaniment with an Environmental Hiking Guide (licensed in accordance with Law No. 04/2013 as amended);
  • Organization and logistics
  • I remind you that for day trips, they are covered by professional liability insurance that covers in case of acts resulting from the guide’s recklessness or inexperience.

To register, you must use the site’s reservation form by clicking on the BOOK button. The data to be entered are first name, last name, address, phone number, social security number and number of people interested in the excursion. You will need to make payment online to validate your reservation. You will receive an email confirming your reservation.

Payment is made online through PayPal. You can pay with debit/credit cards always through Paypal.

Yes, it is possible to cancel participation in the excursion. We will issue a voucher of the excursion value already paid, in case a cancellation is communicated within 72h of the excursion, as well as in case the organization decides to cancel the excursion due to force majeure (e.g. bad weather). The voucher can be used in the twelve months following the date of cancellation to participate in another organized excursion. Return of money will not be possible in other cases.

Time and meeting point are on the individual hike page, will be forwarded by email and/or whatsapp during registration. They may vary due to needs dictated by chance or last-minute situations: be careful to enter your contact information correctly and check that the e-mail has not unfortunatey ended up in spam.

The organized excursion has no minimum number, so it can be composed of even one participant, up to a maximum of 15 . For organizational reasons, some excursions may have more or fewer participants.

Yes, but only if accompanied by an adult. Who agrees to enforce the regulations signed at the time of booking for the accompanied minor as well. Excursions, unless otherwise specified, are generally suitable for children 8 years of age and older.

Outings intended only for the very young may also be planned. In this case, the Guide will be accompanied by another adult.

It depends on the type of hike. The guide, in agreement with Pro Loco Badia Tedalda, reserves the right to deny dogs the opportunity to participate if the hike is not considered suitable.

The dog’s companion, where he or she is also allowed to participate, must strictly adhere to a few simple rules of behavior, which you can refer to in our regulations. Failure to notify the dog’s participation or to comply with provisions to control the dog may provide for the exclusion of the companion from the excursion, even at the time of departure

“Layered” clothing according to the season. Long hiking pants, hiking boots with carved soles in good condition and high-necked, raincoat, backpack and pack cover, personal water supply and flashlight. The use of trekking poles is recommended. In case of summer hiking: hat, sunglasses and sunscreen absolutely essential. We take safety seriously; for this reason, hikers who are not adequately equipped may, in the guide’s sole discretion, be excluded from the hike directly at the starting site.
