Hike Description:

Guide: Samuela Pandolfini

A hiking journey that moves within a territory that is the custodian of an ancient historical-architectural heritage represented by crucial outposts: from the Stiavola castle to that of Montefortino, going up the oldest route of the Presale Valley, until reaching Montelabreve, in heart of the Alpe della Luna.
A story of “sentinels” who not only monitored but made this corner of the world immortal!

The poster indicates the degree of difficulty of the hike. To understand how to interpret the degree of difficulty of the hike, one needs to know that:

Difficulty T = Tourist. It includes routes on small roads, mule tracks and convenient well-marked paths that pose no uncertainties, difficulties or problems of orientation. These are routes suitable even for hikers with first experience in the mountains.

Difficulty E = Hiking. Routes that are on trails or tracks, generally marked, also long, with some exposed sections, but well protected or secured with handrail ropes. These are routes that already require a minimum of experience and training.

Difficulty EE = Experienced Hikers. Characterizes those generally marked routes that imply an ability to move easily over even impervious and/or treacherous terrain, short scree, open slopes with no landmarks, rocky sections with slight technical difficulties, general mountain experience and knowledge of the alpine environment, sure-footedness, absence of vertigo and adequate physical preparation.

It depends on the type of hike. The guide, in agreement with Pro Loco Badia Tedalda, reserves the right to deny dogs the opportunity to participate if the hike is not considered suitable.

The dog’s companion, where he or she is also allowed to participate, must strictly adhere to a few simple rules of behavior, which you can refer to in our regulations. Failure to notify the dog’s participation or to comply with provisions to control the dog may provide for the exclusion of the companion from the excursion, even at the time of departure

Long hiking pants, hiking boots with carved soles in good condition and high-necked, raincoat, backpack and pack cover, personal water supply and flashlight. The use of trekking poles is recommended.
